History

The following is a list of official changes and history of our laboratory.


Nov.2012 Our YouTube channel "IshikawaLab Channel" achieved 4 million views on Nov.22.
Jul. Our YouTube channel "IshikawaLab Channel" achieved 3 million views on Jul. 9.
Jun. Our YouTube channel "IshikawaLab Channel" achieved 1 million views on Jun. 28, and 2 million views on Jun. 30.
"IshikawaLab Page" was started in Facebook.
Apr. The group name of "Vision Chip" was changed to "Vision Architecture".
Apr.2011 Assistant professor/research associate Hiromasa Oku became an assistant professor/lecturer. The laboratory name was changed to "Ishikawa Oku Laboratory".
Dr. Yoshihiro Watanabe became an assistant professor/research associate.
Assistant professor/lecturer Takashi Komuro was transferred to Saitama University (associate professor).
Dec.2009 Our webpages (all pages of our laboratory) achieved 1 million page views (1,082,452 views) in a year.
Aug. "IshikawaLab Channel" was started in YouTube.
Apr.2008 The group name of "Micro Visual Feedback" was changed to "Dynamic Image Control".
Assistant professor/lecturer Akio Namiki was transferred to Chiba University (associate professor). The laboratory name was changed to "Ishikawa Komuro Laboratory".
Jun.2006 The group of "Optical Computing" was shrunk. A new group "Meta Perception" was started.
Apr. Professor Masatoshi Ishikawa was retired from an executive vice president of University of Tokyo. He returned to a professor of department of creative informatics and was also appointed to a professor of department of information physics and computing.
Apr.2005 Dr. Alvaro Cassinelli became an assistant professor/research associate.
Professor Masatoshi Ishikawa was changed from a vice president of University of Tokyo to an executive vice president of University of Tokyo. He was also appointed to a professor of department of creative informatics and department of information physics and computing.
Dr, Takashi Komuro became an Assistant professor/lecturer. The laboratory name was changed to "Ishikawa Namiki Komuro Laboratory".
Dr. Hiromasa Oku became an assistant professor/research associate.
Assistant professor/Research Associate Shingo Kagami was transferred to Tohoku University (associate professor at present).
Apr.2004 Professor Masatoshi Ishikawa was changed from an executive adviser to the president of University of Tokyo to a vice president of University of Tokyo.
Dr. Akio Namiki became an Assistant professor/lecturer. The laboratory name was changed to "Ishikawa Namiki Laboratory".
Associate professor Koichi Hashimoto was transferred to Tohoku University (professor).
The group name of "Visual Servo" was changed to "Micro Visual Feedback".
Jul.2003 Dr. Shingo Kagami became an assistant professor/research associate.
Apr.2002 Professor Masatoshi Ishikawa was appointed to an executive adviser to the president of University of Tokyo
Dr. Takashi Komuro became an assistant professor/research associate.
Assistant professor/Research Associate Makoto Naruse was transferred to NICT (Senior Researcher at present).
Jun.2001 The Vision Chip Association was established.
Apr. Graduate School of Information Science and Technology was established. Main affiliation was changed to the Graduate School.
Apr.2000 Dr. Koichi Hashimoto became an associate professor. The laboratory name was changed to "Ishikawa Hashimoto Laboratory".
A research group "Visual Servo" was started.
Dr. Makoto Naruse became an assistant professor/research associate.
Assistant professor/Research Associate Idaku Ishii was transferred to Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (professor of Hiroshima University at present).
Apr.1997 Associate professor Masatoshi Ishikawa became a professor. The "Ishikawa Laboratory" was started.
Apr.1997 New webpage including three research fields "Sensor Fusion", "Vision Chip", and "Optical Computing" was started.
Apr.1996 Dr. Idaku Ishii became an assistant professor/research associate.
Apr.1995 Main Affiliation was changed to Graduate School of Engineering.
Jun.1989 Dr. Masatoshi Ishikawa became an associate professor of school of engineering. Main research fields were "Sensor Fusion" and "Optical Computing". Researches on "Tactile Sensor" and "Parallel Vision" were also pursued.
