Spatio-temporal blended identities applet [ Built with Processing ]

BASIC COMMANDS

  • [ LEFT/RIGHT ] : Sets fundamental oscillation speed
  • [ MOUSE LEFT CLICK ] Produces a local spatial blending (a "punch")
  • [ 1 ] Start/Stop "fundamental" oscillation
  • [ 2 ] Start/Stop evolution of "punch" (but does not stop oscillation)
  • [r or R] Reset surface (use when want to erase a punch and evolution is off)

FINER CONTROL

  • [ ENTER ] Evolution Mode {RELAX, WATER RIPPLES}
  • [k/ l ] Brush size [ K / L ] Brush smoothness [ h / j ] Brush strength

OTHER COMMANDS

  • [ n / m ] Size of the computing grid (the coarser, the fastest the execution).

Note: Processing script (well, in fact Java) does not handle real-time very well... Be sure you have the latest Java installed. Even in this case, in certain circumstances the execution seems to stop for some milliseconds, and then run faster. Also, if things are getting slower (there are several applets working at the same time on the browser), be sure to press "ESC" or quit the ones you don't need to see working simultaneoulsy. You can always reload the page. In the future I will need to port this to C or other real time language for real psychometric tests.
