To understand the title, you should know that I have grown a long (unique) hair lock - about 70cm - behind my right ear. Usually, I braid it; but for some reason (maybe because I like LEDs) I decided to insert lights on it. Sort of a wearable X-mas tree; however, my goal was to create something a little more complex and enticing. RGB LEDs are controlled by an accelerometer sensor (I like sensors too!) so that the color of the light changes as I wave my hair.

The electronic circuit is quite simple: a small microcontroler (arduino compatible), 4 surface mounted RGB LEDs and an accelerometer sensor. But it wasn't that simple to assemble by hand since LED are directly soldered to very, very thin wires.
